EDUCATION
Each Spirit Walker under the age of twelve is to study the culture, background, weaponry, language and history of their kind and the humans, they have to learn at least three Mortal languages as well as knowing their own language, and they have to train for five hours solid a day.
A normal Spirit Walker routine would be to wake up, go to classes in the morning, have lunch and then train the rest of the day until curfew. But on the morn of their twelfth birthday the Spirit Walker would be attending the Age Ceremony and on that day would be assigned their first mission and would have to complete that before they were allowed back into society. The range of languages each Spirit Walker can choose from are as follows: Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Welsh, as well as their mother tongue. They have to learn about every single weapon and the best way to use and wield them and then actually use them in the field. They have to know their history off by heart as this is vitally important. And they have to study a range of cultures, both human and Spirit Walker. |
CAREER
Upon turning twelve a Spirit Walker is rewarded with their individual markings at the Age Ceremony and then assigned a mission, whether it be to assassinate a leader or member of the Blood Falcons, or to assassinate a random Mortal, or to protect a Mortal's life from a demon trying to kill it, etc. For every assignment completed the Spirit Walker gets a stroke on their shoulder to show how many they've completed.
From a young age Spirit Walkers are taught that scars are like badges of honor and to wear them proudly. And for each scar they remember what it was from.
If a Spirit Walker fails to complete a mission they are then exiled to the Wastelands to rot away and die. Each Spirit Walker is assigned a new mission every three months and they have those three months to complete the task, unless it is a special task that should require less or more time.
